KGS performed the operation and major renovation/retrofits/optimization of a 1,100 gpm GWTP to remove chlorinated VOCs from the groundwater at the former Navy property GM-38.
KGS executed preventative maintenance and troubleshooting activities in accordance to the OM&M Plan. To demonstrate compliance with the OM&M Manual and NYSDEC requirements, KGS collects monthly groundwater, process water, and air samples for VOC analysis from all 12 wells. Sample results are evaluated to assess GWTP operations and are reported monthly to the Navy and NYSDEC.
